I’m an artist currently based in East Yorkshire, working primarily with textiles and mixed media.
Materials and methods
I hand-dye most of the fabric and threads that I use in my textile work. I tend to use natural fibres like cotton, linen, and silk.
I use mostly vintage and antique fabrics in my textile work, usually sourced from charity shops
All my textile work is sewn entirely by hand because this allows me to connect more closely with the work. It also encourages slowing down and enabling better focus.
I use hand-painted collage papers in many of my sketchbooksI like to add textile samples to mixed media sketchbooksI also like to work on a theme. This sketchbook is inspired by the work of Paul Klee.
