I love it. I would totally wear it as a dress:

Thank you to Annie (in the comments section on my last post), who suggested that the scrap of orange could be an extra pocket. Yes it could:

There’s room for lots more stitching, but in the meantime it’s fully functional and ready for wearing.

And here’s the back:

Now of course I don’t want to spoil it by accidentally splashing paint and dye over it…

Love this, totally agree with orange pocket!
Thanks so much Marjorie, a happy accident and a helpful comment made this happen 🙂
I’m so glad! 😁🧡
This is amazing Karen. I love it. I have ordered a pattern too but haven’t made a start on it yet. I’m not sure that I want to line it & wondered if I could just use bias binding round the edges.
Thanks so much Ann, it’s quite easy to make and very enjoyable. You probably could bind the edges rather than line it; you’d just join the shoulders instead of leaving them open to turn through. I’d be interested to see an unlined version of it.
Wow!
😎😊
This is so “you” Karen! Looks wonderful!
thanks so much Robbie 🥰
Love this very Kawandi style
ha, yes, I see that now – unintentional 🙂
Beautiful!! I would wear it as a dress too :D.
Of course this might mean having to make yet another apron that I *can* get messy 😄
Wearing this apron would brighten any day! Beautiful work, Karen! 😉
thanks so much Kathy. It’s lovely to wear 🙂
Just beautiful! The orange pocket is a perfect whimsical touch. Won’t it be so cheerful to wear?
Thanks so much Stephanie. It really does lift the spirits 🙂
It’s gorgeous and would definitely make a lovely pinafore dress.
It’s very comfortable too 🙂
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I absolutely love the blue square with the holes 😉
vintage indigo-dyed fabric from Arlee Barr a few years ago, it’s very pretty
Wow! It’s fabulous. Enjoy every minute wearing it. I want to make one now……but I don’t think it would look as amazing as yours, you’re such a talented lady.
Fiona.
that’s very kind Fiona, thank you – but I’d say dive in and have a go, it will absolutely look amazing 🙂
Yes, I think after all that effort and looking so good, I should think you would be reluctant to splash paint on it!
Let’s see how long I can keep it reasonably clean 😁
