I’ve been sorting through my fabrics and scraps, and I’ve put together a couple of options that are now available in the shop.
The first is a sheer and semi-sheer/textured fabrics scraps pack that looks a bit like this:

You can see average contents here:
The second is a lightweight fabrics selection, mostly hand-dyed, and mostly cotton with some scraps of silk and/or linen:

And one in the making:
Both packs are good for layering, to create little landscapes or stitched samples. I used some of the scraps to create a very long cloth, which I’m starting to explore.

Not sure where this one is going, but it looks like a long road. It’s about 4″ wide by about eight feet.

Have a lovely weekend.

This is intriguing. I love long, large work. It feels like you can settle in and let it really speak to you.
Nabbed some thread this morning. One of them is called peacock and that’s what all of them are being used for. A peacock. 😉 Down the road, though. But no harm having perfect supplies right now.
ha perfect, thank you – threads will be on their way on Monday. Re the long thing – no idea what I’m doing but it’s intriguing me too. I agree, spending a long time (maybe that’s what it is, ‘long’ time) on a thing often leads to some kind of evolution: whether that’s me or it remains to be seen I guess
Yes! I find myself very interested in time. It’s such a curious phenomenon. Committing to spending a long time (or a ‘long’ time) on something is worthwhile, I think. It leads to such unexpected places, something like life.
No hurry on the thread, it’s something that has quite a few things before it.
Eight feet is enough to daunt even me. I’m looking forward to watching this one!
same 😎 I can see me getting tangled in it somewhere along the way
I wish I lived in the UK so I could easily shop your lovely scrap packs! Jane.
ah, sorry the shop isn’t easily accessible for you, Jane. Overseas shipping is expensive but you only pay it once per order, not for each item. There may also be customs charges and additional tariffs though, depending on where you live.
Very intrigued by your long landscape! Looks like fun 😁
It will be an adventure 🙂
